Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) are contracts between a sponsor (a company, hospital, individual, or other entity), a center or site at which the procedure or test is being done (a hospital or another medical facility), the investigative team (principal investigator, sub-investigators, or similar actors, although the team makeup depends on the actual procedure), ethics committees, and other regulatory entities. The exact makeup of these entities can vary depending on certain factors, such as the location of the site or center, the scope of the trial, and if the trial is international, as the most common factors.
